My name is Katie Wright.

My job is taking the photos of your dreams.

I love my job.

I am alarmed at the reports of an overwhelming quantity of plastic bottles that are being released into the environment. Giving up plastic water bottles seems like a small sacrifice to make with potentially large benefits to the planet, does it not?

Giving up plastic bottles sends a message.

It says that my own personal convenience is not more important than the environment. It tells the government that we are relying on our water department to provide clean and reliable tap water.

Rather than thinking your impact does not make a difference, multiply the garbage you create, the water you use, and the energy you consume by 6.8 billion people in the world. Your actions contribute to (or detract from) the greater good of the whole.

Grocery bags= Lame

The big question is why? Why would you still use plastic grocery bags when there are so many cute reusable bag options?!

Be nice to our planet.

New (handmade) Client Packaging!

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

supplies

I thought it would be fun to try something a little different with my client packaging today.

I decided buying packaging products is way to expensive, contributes to environmental waste and just plain boring…..yawn.. So I found a new way to make inexpensive and sustainable packaging that is personal, without paying for envelopes, tape, and labels.

What I used:
-recycled brown paper grocery bag
-scissors
-hole punch
-hem tape (you can also use ribbon)

handmade KLW packaging

Then I got out the alphabet stamp kit and had some fun!

Make something pretty!
